Obituary of Scott D. Henderson

     Scott Dale Henderson passed away unexpectedly at home on December 6, 2023. He was born October 10, 1962, the son of Sherman and Hilda Henderson of Campobello. Scott is survived by the love of his life, wife Lisa (Mitchell) Henderson; son Evan (Lindyn); daughter Emily (Jarret); grandsons Asher, Isaiah and Jackson; granddaughters Eden and Shiloh; mother Hilda (Chute) Henderson; brother David; sister Jill Matheson (Carman); nephews Jeremy and Nick; niece Amanda; and many grand nieces, nephews and cousins. Scott was predeceased by his father in 2010. 

    Scott’s passions were his family first, then building- everything from roads to homes- then hunting with his family in the fall. In his work, he made friends everywhere he went and was the first one to offer help to anyone. His skills as a builder are seen all over Campobello. He was a lifetime avid shooter and hunter, and those skills were passed on to his family. He will be deeply missed and loved by all his family, friends, employees and all who knew him. 

    By Scott’s request, cremation will take place. The funeral service in celebration of his life will be held at North Road Baptist Church, on Thursday December 14^th, 2023 at 2:00 pm.  A reception will follow in the church hall.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Campobello Island Fire Department would be appreciated by the family.
