Obituary of Brian VanHyum
Van Hyum - at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Friday, December 28th, 2017. Brian Van Hyum, husband of Beverley (Gibbons) Van Hyum of Crocker Hill, NB. Born in Mississauga, ON; he is the son of the late John & Dorothy Van Hyum. After moving to St. Stephen in the 80’s Brian worked for Auroca (Flakeboard) for seven years . Brian left Flakeboard to enter the Trucking Industry which he had wanted to pursue for a long time . Locally Brian worked for the late David Getchell , R.E.M. and Evan Goodine Trucking . He was an owner operator for Big Wheels for many years as well. Brian became disabled in 2012 and retired. Surviving in addition to his wife Beverley are his stepson Jonathan Mogard of St. Stephen N.B. as well as Brother and Sister in Laws , nieces and a nephew as well as a great niece . Brian cherished each and every one of them as they did him. ………………………………………………………………………………… By Brians’ request a cremation will take place. Friends are welcomed to attend a celebration of his life with a light reception, to be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
