Obituary of Paul Gray Johnson
JOHNSON PAUL G. - At The Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, NB on Thursday, December 21,2017, Paul Gray Johnson, husband of Marie (McFarlane) Johnson of Rolling Dam, NB. Born in St. Stephen, he is the son of the late Oscar Wiley & Clara Mabel (McCrum) Johnson. Paul thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, had a passion for his tractor. Early in his life he built his own sawmill that he worked everyday. He did a lot of custom sawing, cutting logs for a number of people in the community. He and Marie took great enjoyment in going to Calais to square dance for almost 20 years. They could also be seen at Murphys Dance Off. Surviving in addition to his wife Marie of 66 years are his children Winston (May McAllister), Paulette Parker (Kenneth) all of St. Stephen, Julie Johnson … Meek (Keith) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Heidi Johnson of Waweig, NB, 2 sisters Lois Lombard (Tom McVitty) of Ontario, and Eleanor Craig of St. Andrews, NB, 8 grandsons, Bradley, Luke, Kirk, Phillip, Ben, Joe, Adam, Brook, 2 granddaughters Rayna and Willow, several great grandchildren, several , nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was predeceased by 3 brothers, Blair, Hewitt and Robert one sister Iris. The funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 23rd, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 … 466 … 3110) Rev. Gord Walsh officiating. The interment will take place in the spring. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home reception centre. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 2- 4 & 7 … 9 pm.
