Obituary of Carson Derrick Gowan

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Carson Gowan, on April 19, 2023 at the age of 64.
Carson is survived by his children,Bradley Gowan (Jenna) of McAdam, Jessica Winsor (Mike) of Pennfield and Kelsey Gowan of Blacks Harbour, his special companion Myrna Kinney, step-children Jason and Melanie. Siblings, Rodney (Elaine) Gowan of St. George, Susan (late Kenneth. F) Henderson of Saint John, Kim (Tony) Hicks of Upper Waweig, Karen Lee of Little Ridge, several nieces and nephews and countless friends who will miss him dearly. Predeceased by his parents John “Jack” and Carol Gowan, infant sister Donna, and Brother
Alvin Gowan.
Throughout his life, Carson had many passions, including camping, hunting, watching hockey,and listening to the "Oldies" on the radio with Myrna. He was a Jack-of-all-trades, always working on a project and loved spending time outdoors. Carson's proudest accomplishment were his children, who will miss him more than words.
In celebration of Carson’s life, family will welcome the public for visitation on Friday April 21, 2023 from 6-8PM , with a service to follow on Saturday April 22, 2023, 2:00 pm at Humphrey’s Funeral Home (20 Marks Street St. Stephen NB E3L 2B2), burial to take place at Rollingdam United Cemetery following the service.
