We were saddened to hear the passing of Donna such a beautiful, warm being.
We will never forget the last time we saw her on one of our walks down the road.
She greeted us with a smile then opened her arms wide and took us in a warm embrace….it was filled with such pure love and forever will stay in our hearts.

Dear Debbie and Bruce,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I was just thinking of her over the Christmas holiday and fondly remembering her mentorship when I started my job at Big Brothers Big Sisters. She was a wonderful, supervisor, mentor and friend and she made such a difference to the children and volunteer mentors that she served. I extend my deepest sympathy to both of you and your family.

Joan and I have many memories of Donna and Bob. From roast beef night at their Lake cottage, and sport car rallies in New Hampshire. After Bob retired from life our relationship with Donna especially small parties she would have at her house on Mary Street. Our condolences to her family members. A donation will be made to the “Stephen R Smith Scholarship at UNB Law”

We first met Donna sitting at the Blazing 7s slot machine in the Moncton casino - we were there to pick up the keys to our new vehicle Debbie had arranged for us to purchase and even driven there. It was a bit like a covert drug deal! Since then we have cherished every moment spent with Donna - her unconditional love and support matching only that of our own dearly departed mothers. We enjoyed her sharp wit at the card table - usually taking our money - and the many hours at her pool where we were always welcomed day or night along with visiting family and friends. She was our best “date” for brunches, live plays and, most recently, the Queen’s Jubilee High Tea. We will miss Donna terribly and send our love and deepest condolences to Debbie, Bruce, Jimmy, Karen and the whole family.

I have so many great memories of times shared with Donna - the time she and another friend “kidnapped “ me and took me to the casino in Halifax. We were supposed to have been on a shopping trip before Christmas - we had a blast! Lots of great conversations around the pool on Mary street and at the cottage. And our trip to Florida is forever held in my heart. RIP Donna, you were loved.
Bruce, Debbie, Jimmy, Karen and Kelsey - may the love and memories you share of your mom/mother-in-law/ grandmother sustain you as move into the next chapters of your lives.❤️

It was like a bad drug deal! From that day forward we treasured every minute spent with this great lady whose unconditional love was shared with us like only from our own dearly departed mothers. Donna's quick wit at the card table always kept us on our toes and she never hesitated to share her swimming pool day or night with us and our families. She was our date for local brunches, plays and, most recently, the Queen's Jubilee High Tea. Donna and Bob became our friends back in Fredericton in 1968. Bob was trying to get his car out of snow and my Bob went over to help - thus began a friendship that lasted all these years. I will miss my friend and our calls and supper at the casino. Rest in Peace dear Donna. My deepest condolences to Bruce, Debbie and families.
