My condolences to Kelly and all the Haughn family. I have many fond memories of Cal at Simonds High School. He was always so helpful in lending his help and expertise at the auto shop in the school.

Haughn Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of Cal. He touched a lot of young lives in his 37 years of teaching at SHS, and his impact on those lives endures.

Scott and Kelly,I am so sorry for your loss. Cal was a good friend and colleague over the years at Simonds. I first met him when I was a grade 12 student at the old Simonds High School on Bayside Drive and then worked with him when I joined the staff at the Hickey Road site. He was a dedicated and talented teacher who took pride in helping to prepare young people for their lives in the working world. From every day classroom activities to coaching students for the Chysler Trouble Shooting competitions, he was always there. Losing such a good man is difficult.
I brought special needs students into Mr. Haughn's class. He was very supportive and kind to both me and my students. Had some good laughs, loved his sense of humour and his gentle ways.

Kelly and Scott. I am so sorry to hear of Cal's passing. I taught with your Dad at Simonds in the 90s. I also remember him as from parent teacher days when I taught you both at Simonds Jr. He was such a gentleman. The automotive department was very lucky to have him for all those years. I know my dad enjoyed his many years teaching with him too. I'll be thinking of you and your family.
I so enjoyed having Cal as a Simonds High colleague. He was a great support on numerous projects and his humour the source of many smiles over the years. A true gentleman and a gentle man. My condolences to his family.
I am so sorry for your loss and the loss of my dear colleague and friend. Cal was a devoted teacher who welcomed me as a new member of the Simonds High School Industrial Department staff.He contributed significantly to the development of his students and, when the Automotive area was closed, worked very hard to make the transition to other subjects. He was always eager to learn new skills. I had planned to visit him last summer but missed the opportunity. So long, my friend.
My sincerest condolences to the Haughn and extended families. I had Cal as a teacher while I attended Simonds High. This man was a wealth of knowledge.
