Obituary of Helena A. Wright - Kavanagh
Helena A. Wright-Kavanagh passed away peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital on October 31, 2022 at the age of 75.
Survived by: her sons, of whom she was so proud, Kevin (Carey) of St. Thomas ON, Dwayne (Joyce) of St. Stephen NB, and Chris (Lisa) of St. Stephen NB; her siblings Linda (Tom) Bonner, Howard Linton (Darlene), Dixie (Bill) Keenan, Carson (Dianne) Linton, and Matt (Martine) Linton, ; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
Predeceased by: parents Cheever and Florence Linton; her husband Randy Kavanagh; siblings Sheila Linton and Wes Linton; and grandson Michael Wright.
Helena was a survivor of polio and many other challenges in life. She was no stranger to hard work, and despite her physical challenges she worked a full career in providing care to others. She was very proud to have completed her LPN course as a mature student, ending her career at Lincourt Manor where a workplace injury required early retirement.
Having worked in the care industry, she wanted to make things as easy as possible for her family as her health declined and she moved by choice to McLay's Oak Bay Haven in 2019 where she resided until her death.
The family would like to thank: Dr. Lister for his decades of care for Helena; the staff of Oak Bay Haven; and the staff of CCU at the hospital for their compassion during Helena's final hour.
Cremation has taken place, a memorial service to celebrate Helena will be held on Sunday November 06, 2022 at 2PM in the Humphreys Funeral Home Chapel (20 Marks St. St. Stephen NB E3L 2B2).
Gifts of remembrance can be made to the St. Croix Christian Center or a charity of one's choice. On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com
