Hatt, Mered Phillip
85 years, was called home to the Lord on Thursday September 29, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Grand Manan he was the son of the late Murdock and Lena (nee Lambert) Hatt. Beloved husband of Mildred Frances (nee French).
Adored father of Phillip (Kathy) Hatt, Tommy (Debbie) Hatt and Heather (Timmy) Wilcox.
Cherished grandfather of Anthony Hatt (Amanda), Amanda Hatt (Scott), April Henry (Shawn), Mathew Hatt (Tiffany), Megan Greenier (Joey) and Joel Wilcox (Lora).
Caring great-grandfather of Tyler Hatt, Chloe Hatt, Spencer Henry, Tyler Henry , Dylan Henry , Bradley Henry, Brandi Hatt, Peyton Greenier, Willow Greenier, Ivy Greenier, Adeline Wilcox and Weston Wilcox.
Survived by his siblings Evelyn Howland and Pauline Edwards. Mered will be dearly missed by several nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his siblings Robert Hatt, David Hatt, Nellie Small, Ruth Holt, Irene Wylie and Daisy Harmon.
Mered was a fisherman by trade and had a passion for singing; he loved his Lord and was a caring family man. His grandkids and great grandkids meant the world to him
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jessi Green, Sarah Matheson, Emilie Pilotte and Melodie Lemay for their care and compassion.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB, E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110) on Sunday October 02, 2022. The funeral service in celebration of his life will be held the following day on Monday October 03, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Humphreys Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors Jody MacBeth and Randy Harris to officiate. Donations The Alzheimers Society or St Croix Christian Centre would be appreciated by the family.
