Obituary of Anthony O'Leary

          Anthony O'Leary, husband to Shani, father to Nathanael, passed away this week due to a sudden illness. He was originally from Hazelbrook in the Blue Mountains of Australia, and came to St. Stephen many years ago to see Shani, after they had worked together as backpackers in Israel. They both attended St. Stephen's University, got married, and lived for a time in Australia before returning to St. Stephen. Tony worked at the SuperStore on King St. and was a well-loved member of the community with a ready smile and a helpful and thoughtful attitude. As a hobby he fixed bikes for young and old, usually refusing to be paid for his work.

        Tony was predeceased by his father and mother. His brother Ged (married to Jude) and his sisters Irene (married to Paul/nephew Isaac) and Anne still live in Australia.

   A memorial service in celebration of Tony's Life will be held on Sunday September 11th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Croix Church 32 Victoria St. St. Stephen, NB. Rev. Peter Fitch officiating.
