Obituary of Bob Cairns
CAIRNS BOB After a brief illness, Bob Cairns, husband of Cathy (Earles) Cairns of St. Stephen, NB. Born in Toronto, ON; he is the son of the late James & Vivian (Martin) Cairns.
Bob worked for many years with REM retiring in 2015. Bob had a passion for racing cars, when he lived in Toronto and enjoyed the sport to watch, immensely after he moved to New Brunswick. He loved to collect nostalgic NASCAR memoribillia.
Surviving in addition to his wife Cathy of 21 years are his children, Jamie Cairns (Lindsay) grandchildren Michaela, Curtis, Austin, & Parker Cairns all of Ramara, ON, Marty (Sarah), grandchildren Katie, Nathan, all of Ramara, ON, Gilles Rancourt, grand child Gilles W. “Gilly” Rancourt of St. Stephen, NB, Ryan Rancourt (Jennifer), grandchildren Breanna, Carter, and Lily all of St Stephen, NB, Kayla Dufour (Scott) grandchildren Daylee & Alaina, all of Mayfield, NB, Chantale Rancourt (Trevor Shannon) of Quispamsis, NB, siblings, Cheryl (Steve) of Sheddan, ON, niece Stephanie Day(Matt), great nephews Jimmy & Stevie, nephew James Garvin (Felisha).Bob was a beloved Foster Parent to many children.
By Bob’s request cremation will take place. The family will receive friends at a gathering to celebrate his life on Friday, June 10th, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110).
During the gathering an open mic will be available to those friends who wish to share any stories and fond memories of Bob.
In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com
