Obituary of Mabel G. Conley
CONLEY MABEL G. - Peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge in St. Andrews, NB on Sunday, February 20th, 2022; Mabel Grace (Watson) Conley; wife of the late William “Bill” Conley Sr. of St. Stephen, NB. Born in Black’s Harbour, NB; February 3rd, 1927; she is the daughter of the late Ernest Earl & Clara Ethel (Gaudett) Watson.
Mabel will be fondly remembered by everyone, her larger than life personality, love for her family and friends and her ability to always make you laugh will never be forgotten. Her family will always remember her Christmas gathering lots of laughs, food and love. Mabel loved a good time, she enjoyed music, meeting friends for a game of cards and was always on the move!
Mabel was a dedicated employee and we all have fond memories from her time as “Mother Mabel” at Connors Bros. She could always make your day a little more enjoyable with a great joke! Mabel will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Mabel is survived by her two sons Glenn (Claudine), Bill (Kelly), 3 granddaughters Krysten (Obbie), Jennifer (Greg), Patricia (Mark), 1 grandson Jason (Tanya), 4 great grandchildren Sean (Rose), Lauryn, Michael (Jessica), Meranda (Nick), Makayla (Samuel), and Konner, 1 great great grandson Benson, several nieces and nephews.
Mabel was predeceased by her husband William, her parents Clara & Ernest Watson, her sisters Myrtle, Mary (Meme)), 3 grandsons Timmy, Danny and Little Mike.
A private family celebration of Mabel’s life will be held in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB.
The interment will take place at the Black’s Harbour Community Cemetery in the spring. Friends will be welcomed to attend the graveside service. Time & date will be announced.
