I was sorry to hear of Merton's passing. He was a sweet man. I met him when I visited my Mom at Lincourt. Merton loved my little terrier,Riley, who usually visited with me. Riley would sit on Merton's lap. Please accept my condolences.
Merton has been missed since he left his Lincourt family. I loved his zest of life and loved to hear his stories. RIP my friend. It was an honor to be one of yiur caretakers.
When I was growing up, Merton was the biggest source of fun on Campobello. He was the best of companions, full of wit, and good-hearted. I used to love visiting Newt's and Eleen's house, and I miss that wonderful generation of islanders.
