Butland, Frederick Woodworth … At the Charlotte County Hospital on Sunday, August 7, 2016; Fred Butland, husband of 59 years to Carol (Anderson) Butland of St. St. Stephen, NB. Born in Fredericton, NB, on July 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Percy W. and Winnifred R. (Woodworth) Butland. Fred was a school teacher, Vice Principal, Principal and retired as Superintendent of schools for Charlotte County. He loved music, theatre, travelling and sports, especially watching the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by his wife Carol, son Rick Butland (Beth) of Saint John, daughter Sharon Caswell of St. Stephen, granddaughter Taylor Caswell of Fredericton, grandson Ryan Caswell of Calgary, brothers in law Jim Anderson (Sydney), and Eric Anderson (Bev), and nieces and nephews. By Fred’s request there will be no visitation or service. Donations in Fred’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
