Obituary of Eleanor Marie Murphy
MURPHY E. MARIE - Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, on Friday, January 23rd, 2015; Eleanor Marie (Brown) Murphy, ; wife of the late Bill Murphy of Heathland, NB. Born in Campobello, NB; she is the daughter of the late Harry & Elsie (Carter) Brown. Marie worked for many years as a packer with the Connors Bros. Sardine Plant. She was a longtime dedicated member of the Pythian Sisters Maple Leaf Temple # 30, Ladies Orange Benevolent Association of Canada St. Croix #1253 and the Oddfellows & Rebekah’s Olive Lodge # 8. Marie is survived by her 3 daughters Camilla Hooge (Clarence) of Deer Island, NB, Heather Searles (Niles) of Pennfield, NB and Catherine McBride (Perri) of Heathland, NB, 1 sister Florence Miller (Phil) of Lubec, ME, USA, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie was predeceased by an infant daughter, her 7 sisters Mae, Hazel, Dot, Marjorie, Beatrice, Adrian and Julia, 5 brothers Clyde, Freddie, Harry, Harold, & Ralph. By Maries’ request cremation will take place. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Wednesday from 2 … 4 & 7 … 9 pm at the funeral home. Tribute services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon conducted by the Pythian Sisters at 2:00 pm, Orange Lodge at 2:30 pm and the Rebekah’s at 3:00 pm. The funeral service, in celebration of Maries’ life will be held on Thursday, January 29th, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St Stephen, NB, E3L 2B2 (506 … 466 … 3110). Pastor Maurice Hatfield officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the Humphreys Funeral Home Community Room & Reception Centre. In case of inclement weather please call the funeral home, before venturing out. The interment will take place later in the spring at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
