Obituary of Ruby May Brady
BRADY, RUBY M. at the Charlotte County Hospital on Monday, January 5th, 2015, Ruby May (Heard) Brady, wife of the late H. Dwight Brady, of St. Andrews, NB. Born in Swindon, Wiltshire, Great Britain, in 1921, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (Collett) Heard. Ruby worked for numerous businesses and churches as secretary, in Toronto and North Bay, Ontario. During 30 years residence in New Zealand, she was a potter. She studied at the University of Auckland during that time. In her retirement back in Canada, many people benefited from her creative skills as seamstress,artist,quilter and knitter. Ruby is survived by her son Dwight F. and his wife Marilyn of Toronto, ON; son, Michael R. of London, sister Doris McLeod of Plattsburg, NY; grandchildren Heather Brady (Marshall Posner,) and Robyn Brady (Michael Regnier;) and great-grandchildren Natalie Posner, Molly Regnier and Daniel Regnier. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Evelyn Heard, brother Alfred Heard, Jr., and son Mark S. Brady. By Ruby's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
