Obituary of Dorothy Jean Hooper
HOOPER JEAN - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB at the age of 71; Dorothy Jean Hooper, wife of Glenn Hooper of St. Andrews, NB. Born in Stanley, NB she is the daughter of the late William & Dorothy (Pringle) Foreman of Stanley, NB. Survived by her husband, son Andrew (Jeanette) Brewer of Whitby, Ontario, daughter Mary Beth (Jeff) Johnson of St. Andrews, step - son Robert (Shelley) Hooper of Chamcook, NB, grandchildren Jessica Johnson, Ben Brewer, Rebecca Eagles, siblings, Mary (Leslie) Dorcas of Prince George, BC, Joyce (Don) Logan of Hampton, NB, Allan (Jo-Anne) Foreman of Moncton, NB, also survived by Robert (Nicole) Goode of Lincoln, NB and several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her sister Betty (Arnold) Goode of Lincoln, NB. Jean was retired from the Bank of Nova Scotia after 35 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Heather Curling Club of St. Andrews, as well as a member of All Saints Anglican Church & the Anglican Church Women. Jean volunteered many hours with both the curling club and the church, organizing and preparing dinners, dances, and community breakfasts, alongside her many close friends. By Jeans request there will be no visitation however friends are welcomed to attend a celebration of her life to be held on Thursday, January 8th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Anglican Church, King Street St. Andrews, NB. Archdeacon John Matheson officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall. A private family interment will take place at a later date at the St. John Chapel of Ease Memorial Wall in Chamcook, NB. In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
