LEIGHTON, JANET R. … Peacefully at her residence in Pennfield,NB; on Sunday,August 17th,2014; Janet “Janie” Rose Leighton. Born in Black’s Harbour,NB she is the daughter of the late Wilfred Leslie & Glenna Frances (Hawkins)Leighton. Janet is survived by her 4 sisters Linda Holmes (a special friend John Bires) & Frances Spear (Paul Mervine) of Pennfield, Audrey Garnett (Eugene) of Saint John, Lana Polland (Rickey) of Back Bay,3 brothers Edwin (Maria) of Pennfield, Reid (Joan) & Carson(Bonnie) all of Back Bay, a brother in law Clarence Johnston, several nieces,nephews and cousins. Janet was predeceased by 1 sister Arlene. Resting at Pennfield Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Wednesday, August 20th, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Reg Ward officiating, assisted by Vernon Spear. The interment will follow in Pennfield Rural Cemetery.
