NEWMAN, C. VAUGHAN - At the Campobello Lodge on Saturday, June 25th, 2016, Curtis Vaughan Newman, husband of Margie “Sissy” (Jackson) Newman of Wilsons Beach, NB. Born in Campobello he is the son of the late Harvey & Julia (Newman) Newman. A resident of Campobello all of his life, Vaughan worked hard to support his family, in his early years he and his father bought & sold fish, then at Jackson Bros. Fish Plant and store for over 30 years and then for 20 years at his son Larry’s seafood plant. He was a longtime member of Wilsons Beach Baptist Church, serving on various committees.He was inducted as a Deacon of the church in 1995 and served faithfully for almost 20 years. Vaughan was also a dedicated servant to Gideons International for many years. Surviving in addition to his wife Sissy are his daughter Colleen Morrison (Marty) of York, ME, USA and son Larry of Campobello, 2 grandsons, Bradley of York, ME, and Matthew (Erica) of Waterville, ME, 2 great grandchildren Madelyn & Reid. Vaughan was predeceased by 3 brothers Leon, Blair and Clifford. Resting at Wilson’s Beach Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 at 2:00pm. John Wry officiating. The interment will follow in Wilsons Beach Community Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church hall.
