Obituary of Richard W. Malloch
MALLOCH RICHARD - Richard Wayne (Ricky) passed away at his home with his family by his side March 27th, 2014. Born on Campobello (Malloch’s Point), March 4, 1943. He lived there all his life maybe a five minute walk from the house he was born in. A hard worker all his life, he worked at Welch’s Sardine Factory in his teen years, and later for the Department of Transport, Herring Cove Provincial Park as manager, Hook’s Lobster Pound and various other jobs until his health forced him to retire. He is survived by his wife Della (Tinker), children Connie, Curtis (Narissa), Crystal (Lorne) Lahey, Cara (Bobby) Fitzsimmons Malloch, grandchildren, Ashtan Beth, Mackenzie Ross, Erin Leslie, Mitchell Lorne, Braiden Wade, Sydney Gail, two step grandchildren, Ashton James and Carter Jackson, all of Campobello, one brother Stephen (Madeline) , several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by a granddaughter Haley Diane, his parents Lawrence and Phylis (Bryant) Mallock, one brother Mervin Dale, and a very special mother … in … law Hilda (Crichton) Tinker. As per Richards request, no services, maybe a private family graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials to a charity of your own choice would be appreciated by the family.
