Obituary of Danny Wayne Anthony
Danny Wayne Anthony , 57, of Campobello Island, NB , passed away in his home on Wednesday, October, 10th , 2013. Danny was born in Eastport, Maine USA. He was the son of Clyde and Alda Anthony and stepson of Kirsten Anthony. Danny was a man of many talents; he was a journeyman, carpenter, skilled dart player, wonderful photographer and an engaging storyteller to say the least. Most notably, Danny was a friend of the Head Harbour Lighthouse and spent many days and evenings there, taking care of both the flag and lighthouse visitors. Danny enjoyed the history of Campobello and the Lighthouse, whale watching, woodworking and spending time with his dog Bartoo and cat Percy. Danny’s was predeceased by mother Alda (Brown), father Clyde, stepmother Kirsten and sister Karen. Danny is survived by his children, Jason Anthony of Lubec, Maine, daughter Selina (and Robert) Pottle of Halifax, brother Wes Anthony and one sister Jane Stevens, as well as several nieces and nephews and countless cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Friends of Head Harbour Light Station or to the local SPCA in Danny’s memory. Online condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com Friends are welcome to attend a memorial tribute to be held at the Head Harbour Light Station 210 Lighthouse Road Wilson’s Beach, Campobello, NB on Friday, October 18th, 2013 at 2:00 pm (Canadian time)/ 1:00 pm American time.
