Zazelenchuk, Stanley At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on March 25, 2013, Stanley Zazelenchuk, husband of Jean Zazelenchuk of Oak Bay, NB. Born in Stornoway, SK on February 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Peter and Pauline (Achtymichuk) Zazelenchuk. A loving father and husband, he is survived by his wife Jean and his daughter Mary Helen, as well as two brothers, Harry (Sylvia) and Richard (Judy) and several nieces and nephews. Prior to his death Stanley was a school teacher. He taught mainly in the Keewatin region of the Canadian Arctic in the 1970s. In the early 1980s he left teaching and opened up North of Sixty Art Ltd, a gallery devoted to Inuit art in St Andrews, NB. He worked there for over 30 years and had an encyclopedic knowledge of Inuit art and artists. He enjoyed birdwatching, listening to jazz and classical music, and he also gardened extensively. The service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church on Saturday March 30, 2013 at 2 pm, with Rev. Canon John Matheson officiating. Reception to follow at the church hall. The interment will be held at St. John the Baptist Chapel Cemetery in the autumn.
