Obituary of Alphonsine Marie Poirier
POIRIER, ALPHONSINE M. … At the Charlotte County Hospital, on Friday, February 1st, 2013; Alphonsine Marie (Caissie) Poirier of St Stephen, NB, wife of the late Armand Poirier. Born in Rogersville, NB she is the daughter of the late Alphonse & Leona Gould Doiron Caissie. For many years Alphonsine worked at the former Wandlyn Hotel in St Stephen. She was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Church and served as a faith member of the CWL. She is survived by her daughters Lisa Stewart (Danny) of Tower Hill, 2 sons Paul(Crystal) of Musquodoboit,NS, and Fabian (Kelly) of Petawawa, Ont, 9 grandchildren, Melisa, Kyle, Jessica, Roddie, Rachel, Tyler, Zachary, Kirkland and Emile, 3 great grandchildren, Ethan, Darian and Kenton, 1 brother Gerald of Milltown, and 1 sister Florine Russell of Black’s Harbour, niece … daughter Melanie Caissie, several nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Armand, great grandson Jerome, brother Edmond. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 … 466 … 3110) from where the family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Sunday from 2 … 4 and 7 … 9 pm. The CWL of Holy Rosary will say the rosary on Sunday evening at the funeral home at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 4th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. The interment will take place in the Milltown Catholic Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church hall. Donations to the IWK or NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
