Obituary of Avard L. Matthews
MATTHEWS AVARD L. - Peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge in St. Andrews,NB; with his family by his side on Thursday April 21st,2016, at the age of 75; Avard Leroy Matthews, husband of Jackie (Spearin) Matthews of St. Stephen,NB. Born in Saint John, NB; he is the son of the late Murray & Ida (Wagg) Matthews. For most of his life, Avard worked as an electrician. Surviving in addition to his wife Jackie are his 2 daughters Brenda Moore of Deer Island,NB, Laurie Matthews Cummings of Alberta, stepchildren Cindy Marraty of Frankfurt, ON, Margie Marraty, Lynne Matheson (Dickie)of St. Stephen, NB, and Denver Marraty of Campbell River, BC, 4 grandchildren Josh & Justin Cummings of AB, Sean & Andrew Matthews of P.E.I., several step grandchildren, Stephen, Brandon, & Cameron Butler of ON, Sarah Caldwell of St. Stephen, NB, Mallory Ross of Halifax, NS, Briana Matheson of St. Stephen, NB, Kristin& Rachel Marraty of BC, 4 great grandchildren Chloe & Cody Cummings of AB, Misty & Medow, Meredith & Cameron Matthews of P.E.I.,and Madeline Robichaud of St. Stephen,NB. Avard was predeceased by his son Jamie. By Avard's request there will be no visitation or service. In Tribute to his memory donations to Fundy Region Transition House, or the St. Croix Public Library would be appreciated by the family.
