Obituary of Leo I. Taylor
Leo Ira Taylor November 24, 1940, Pleasant Villa, N.B. … April 17, 2016, Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our loving husband, father and grandfather. Leo leaves behind his beloved wife of 21,133 days (57 years, 10 months, 17 days) Letta, his daughters Melinda, Kathryn (Keith Robicheau) and Lee-Anne (Paul Reid), and his grandchildren, Neil Robicheau, Vanessa Robicheau, William Reid (Erin) and Colleen Brown. The son of the late Garfield and Elizabeth (McCullough) Taylor, Leo was predeceased by his brothers Wilfred and Clayton (Barb), and his sister Roberta (Michael Needham). He is survived by brothers and sisters Lenard, Marjorie Harris, Elaine Holt, Bertha Day (Jim), Burl (Teresa), Bernice Lawrence (Bev), Richard (Nancy), and Shirley Taylor. He is also survived by five aunts, one uncle and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Leo was a long-time truck driver and woodsman. He enjoyed playing softball and bowling for many years. Leo was a voracious reader of history, archeology, religion and cultures of the world. He and Letta enjoyed traveling to the places he read about. They visited several European countries, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Egypt, Israel, Russia and nearby Baltic countries, in addition to trips across the U.S. and Canada. He studied photography and captured many family and travel memories with his lens. Family will be accepting friends at Bocabec United Church on Saturday, April 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Humphrey’s Funeral Home, St. Stephen, N.B.
