Obituary of Vera L. Calder
Campobello … Vera Calder, born March 17,1934, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour at Campobello Lodge June 15,2019 at 7:20am surrounded by her loving family. Vera is survived by her daughters Valerie Mabey and her husband Peter, Linda Brand and her husband Jim, Marlene Calder, and Becky Snell and husband Rick; 6 grandchildren, Melissa Garrison, James Brand, Christopher Snell, Matthew Mabey, Bradley Brand and Angela Culver; 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Clinton, father Russell, Mother V. Linnea, brothers Theadore and Bernard, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Vera was actively involved as a member at North Road Baptist Church teaching Sunday School, AWANA and serving on the mission board. She worked for Roosevelt Campobello International Park and she retired from Campobello Lodge. She could always be found in her kitchen cooking her family their favorite foods. She enjoyed visiting her family, bird watching, hunting, fishing and boating with her family. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to North Road Baptist Church and the resident council fund at Campobello Lodge. Special appreciation is given to the staff at Campobello Lodge for their compassionate care and comfort they provided during her stay. The funeral will be held Wednesday, June 19,2019 at 6:00 pm at the North Road Baptist Church. Interment to follow at North Road Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Humphrey’s Funeral Home, St. Stephen.
