It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elaine Hilda Wilson of St. Stephen, NB, on September 7th at the age of 89.
Born on December 22, 1936, in Maugerville, NB, Elaine was the eldest daughter of the late Rev. Wilfred and Geneva (Dryden) Wilson. She graduated from nursing in 1959 and devoted her life to serving and caring for others. Through her years as a nurse and in her everyday life, Elaine was known for her compassion, gentleness, and genuine love for those around her.
Elaine loved the Lord deeply, and the fruit of the Spirit was evident throughout her life. She lived out love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness in the way she cared for others and walked through life. Her faith was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and generosity she extended to those around her.
One of Elaine’s greatest joys was being “Ma” to Campbell and William. She cherished the time she spent with them and took great delight in cheering them on from the basketball courts. Her warmth and caring nature touched many lives, and she will be remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Wilfred and Geneva Wilson; her sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Harold Cripps; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Allan Wilson; nephew Kurk (Kelly) Wilson of Kanata, Ontario; nieces Angela (Mark) Wade of St. Stephen, Stephanie (Brian) Blades of Cape Sable Island, and Cylvia (Chris) Cripps of Norton; her dear best friend, Carole Smith; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
