Obituary of Geraldine Phyllis "Gerri" Robicheau
Geraldine Phyllis "Gerri" Robicheau of St. Andrews, New Brunswick passed away from complications of cancer on June 27, 2026 at the age of 84.
Born in Elmsville, New Brunswick, on March 15, 1942, Gerri lived a life marked by creativity, resilience, generosity, and devotion to family. She and her husband, Reg, raised four children, and created opportunities for future generations through hard work and determination.
A lifelong learner, Gerri returned to school as a young mother, graduating at the top of her NBCC class before building successful careers as a hairstylist and instructor, realtor, and later an Airbnb Superhost. She was known for her warmth, her strong work ethic, and legendary homemade pies.
Her family often joked that Martha Stewart had nothing on Gerri. She was a great quilter, knitter, seamstress, stained-glass artist, and wood carver. She loved golf and served for many years on the board of the Algonquin Golf Club, becoming its first female president. Whether baking for a church fundraiser, mentoring a young hairdresser, or welcoming family and friends into her home, she made people feel valued and cared for.
Above all, Gerri cherished her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and example will continue to guide those who loved her. She always said, "it is nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice."
Gerri was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Robicheau Jr.; her parents, Gerald and Elizabeth Holliday; her sister Bette Nesbitt; and grandson, Ryan Anderson. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Susan Smith (Bruce), Keith Robicheau (Kathryn), Karen Anderson (Todd), Laurie Rans (Zig); her grandchildren Bryn, Drew, Neil, Vanessa, Sofija, Ben, Julija, Cole, Travis and Matt; her great-grandchildren, Abi, Breea, Serena, Magnolia and Valdis; her sister, Dorothy McGlinchey; and her nieces, nephew, friends, and extended family members.
The family wishes to thank the health care teams of 4B South (Neurosciences) and 3B North (Palliative Care) at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 2 P.M. at the Catholic Church of St. Andrew at 212 Parr Street in St. Andrews, N.B. with reception to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation in Gerri's memory.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119).
