Obituary of Christopher Robert Bartlett

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Christopher Robert Bartlett “Muff” announce his unexpected passing in Oliver, B.C. at the age of 51. Chris was born at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen.

Chris leaves behind his son, Carter Bartlett, his parents Caroll Ann Bartlett (Roland) and Robert Bartlett (Margaret), his brother Michael Bartlett, his Grandfather Wilfred Crawford, his two aunts Anne Crawford and Pat Bartlett and his three nephews Ben, Liam & Lennon Bartlett, as well as many friends. He is predeceased by his grandparents Helen Crawford and Norma and Ray Bartlett.

Chris loved his family deeply. His joy in life was being outdoors, fishing, hunting, boating, camping, four wheeling, and snowmobiling. Growing up, Chris was a great athlete and enjoyed playing hockey, golf and all school sports. He also enjoyed cooking, especially on the BBQ. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins. He loved his animals, especially his dogs.

He moved out west shortly after graduating from NBCC in welding. Over the years, he worked as a welder, landscaper and in the orchards. Many of his friends lived nearby and they had many great adventures. He lived on Vancouver Island and then moved to Keremeos, British Columbia.

We remember Chris for his great sense of humour and because he was always the life of the party.

The family wishes to thank the Kelowna General Hospital for taking such good care of Chris after a severe automobile accident two years ago.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the W. C. O’Neill Arena Complex in St. Andrews on June 27, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at this time. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
