Obituary of Donald Andrew McCombie
McCombie Donald A. – Unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, May 13th,2026; Donald Andrew McCombie, husband of Dorothy McCombie of St. Stephen, NB. Born in Cape Breton, NS; he is the son of the late Alfred & Hazel (Brown) MacCombie.
Donald worked in his early years with the tuna plant in Bayside, then various odd jobs around Charlotte County, such as lawn mowing, shovelling snow for residents of the community.
Surviving in addition to his wife Dorothy, he is survived by his children Cindy McCombie of Fredericton, NB, Karen Johnson (Peter) of Oak Bay, NB, Andrew of St. Stephen, NB, 3 sisters Margaret Scott of Honeydale, NB, Bernice MacCombie, Mabel MacCombie, both of St. Stephen, NB, 1 brother James MacCombie of St. Stephen, NB, 6 grandchildren, Mark, Ashley (Ben), Anna (David), Angelica (Youssouf), Harley and Roy, 7 great grandchildren Destiny, Alexa, Elliott, Wyatt, Theodore and Elijah and Poi, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donald was predeceased by a granddaughter Jackie, 5 brothers, Carl(oldest), infant brother at birth, Faye, Eddie, Robert “Bobby”.
By Donald’s request cremation will take place. There will be no visitation.
Friends are welcomed to attend a graveside service on Saturday, May 30th, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery. Pastor Randy Harris officiating.
