My sincere condolences. Mr. Alder and I rarely agreed on anything, and had many spirited conversations at church, but it often ended with us hugging, or him holding my hand as we laughed and joked about our differences (albeit somewhat grudgingly on his part, which is what I found endearing). I had thought about him often, and will remember him fondly.

We send our condolences but do not grieve as those who like Dave knew where he was going and he is finally Home! Oh to be at Home with Jesus! What a blessing and comfort. May his life be an encouragement to all of a well done faithful servant.

I recall that the David had a singular passion for God and the gospel and each time spent with him the conversation eventually turned to the things of the Lord. He was a light for the Kingdom of God in this dark world. Well done good and faithful servant !! Enter into the joy of your master.

My condolences to my second family, oh the many memories that I will carry with me. I not only was a friend , I was family to the Alder's a second daughter a sister. I chuckled when I read that Dave liked having long conversations ( loooong) I am a witness to that. My father and Dave would talk for hours, they were worst then a bunch of hens in a hen house. RIP Dave now you and dad can continue your looong conversations
