Lank, Janice Ethel
Surrounded by her loving family, Janice Ethel Lank, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed peacefully "home" to be with her Lord and Savior, March 4th, 2026, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB. Born on July 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Edith (Newman) Thurber.
She graduated from the Campobello Consolidated school in 1956. Janice was considered the matriarch of the family and was a stay-at-home mom and devoted wife, raising her five children until entering the work force as a waitress once they were grown. In 1974 she became a domestic worker at Roosevelt Campobello International Park, later a senior tour guide and receptionist at the visitor center where she retired from, with many treasured memories and friendships of her beloved coworkers. She was a lifelong member of the North Road Baptist Church.
Janice married the love of her life, Raymond in 1956. Through 59 years of marriage, they enjoyed times of travel, family camping, and thousands of "rook" games with their many friends and family members. Janice lived her life with generosity, a passion for cooking, and spirit of a hard work ethic which she passed on to her family. Mom, Grammie and "Gram" was well known for her extra special pies, and numerous treats from her kitchen. She will fondly be remembered as a loving and hard working, Wife, Mother and Grandmother to all who knew her. Her commitment and generosity to her family is her legacy to those left behind and her greatest "joy" was her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Karlene (Carl) Hood of Lubec, Bonita (Roy) Rogers of St. Andrews, Patsy (Ken) Malloch of Wilsons Beach, and son Clayton Lank of Welshpool.
