Paul and family,
It has been a few years since I have seen Cousin Brucie- I believe it was at your Mom’s funeral. We managed to cross paths every few years, many times at Flames or SeaDogs games First time I met him was at McLarens Beach, at the snack bar, probably sixty years ago!
Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss of a genuine, one of a kind, nice guy!

As a member of Bruce's Carleton-Kirk United Church family, I knew Bruce well. We bowled in the church league, and Bruce was my sidekick when we would deliver boxes of oranges - a church fundraiser. For a long time Bruce was "007". I was "008", and he would greet me as such when I would get on the city bus on my way to work. So many sweet memories.

To Bruce's Family, A light has been gone dim as this was Bruce ...He could light up a room with his presence.. My first encounter with Bruce was I became involved with the New Dawn Community now LArche Saint John.. He and his Buddy John Pike were supposed to be the first two Core Members of McKim House...and to see these two together it was like meeting living legends the embraced life with ease and they both had a passion for their girls and music and it wouldn't be John or Bruce who would take their girls for a quick dance and if you were lucky one would also have them sing the song that was playing especially if it was the Beach Boys...These two are now reunited and I am sure Heaven.has Record Player set for Bruce as the day John passed .. You both Maybe Gone but Never Forgotten Rest Easy Bruce We have you Covered..JJ Jarvi

To Brucie's family, my deepest Condolences to you all. Bruce was truly a genuine person. One of the highlights of my day was the City bus ride over town to high school, because Bruce would get on the bus and update us all on the latest World news and sports. My thoughts and prayers to all who knew Bruce.

I am so very sorry to hear of Brucie's passing. He was truly a gentle soul. My bus rides home from school were so enjoyable because of him. He would sing all the way home. Everyone loved him. He'll certainly be fondly remembered. Sending my Sincerest Condolences to His Family and many friends. May He Rest in Peace.

I was raised on Argyle St and travelled to St Vincent’s in the early mid 70’s, traveling often on the bus. Hopping off the bus at Tilton’s Corner I would join” Brucie” and enjoy his chatter and always at Mansfield St leave him with a smile on my face.
His positive outlook was a joy and he was so wonderfully healthy for the soul!!
I am sure those close to him will miss him dearly! Sure nice to have memories. Keep them all close.
Prayers to you all.

Brucie Brown, where do you even begin. A kind gentle soul. Passionate about everything. I remember 3 years of bus rides in the late 70s with Brucie. We would talk about Another World, a soap opera that we both watched. We didn't see the characters the same way, and a passionate debate between us about them took place. Brucie was all in and stood his ground in his opinions. He was always a pleasure to be around. So many memories to be treasured of him, by so many of his west side bus riding friends.
