Wayne Livingstone –
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne Joseph Livingstone announce his peaceful passing at home on Monday, February 2, 2026, with his loving family at his side.
Wayne was the husband of Marilyn Joan (Fiander) Livingstone and son of Malcolm and Margaret (Grant) Livingstone.
Wayne was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin and friend.
Wayne was a devoted 40-year member and Past President of the St. Stephen Curling Club. His favourite pastimes were curling, horseshoes, golf, playing cards (especially crib), family get togethers and spending time with friends.
Wayne is survived by his wife of over 50 years Marilyn, his daughter Trina (Steven), siblings Maxine, Elaine, Patsy (Buddy), and Harriet; step grandchildren Brandon, Kassidi (Erich), Kayden, Kalli, and Jamie; brother-in-law Carl (Barb) Fiander; sisters in-law Margaret Flagg-Gill, Diane Little, and Sharon Bovaird Fiander; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Malcolm and Margaret (Grant) Livingstone, brother Gerard, mother and father-in-law Randall and Audrey Fiander, brothers-in-law Jack Sweeney, Frank Capstick, Edward Flagg, Arthur Gill and Larry Fiander.
Wayne was a proud Cape Bretoner, born in Glace Bay, grew up in Reserve Mines and moved to St. Stephen in 1973. He started out his career at J Clark and Son Ltd. after which he had a 37-year career with the Department of Transportation in St. Stephen.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Extra-Mural team, Oncology Departments at Charlotte County Hospital and Saint John Regional Hospital, family and friends for their support.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6th, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Humphreys Funeral Home (20 Marks Street St. Stephen NB E3L 2B2) A celebration of Wayne’s life will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at the St. Stephen Curling Club, (1 George Street, St. Stephen.) Interment will be at a later date.
