
Obituary of Jan Kathryn Brown
Brown, Jan Kathryn (Doble).
Passed peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Lubec Maine, she was the daughter of Douglas and Madelyn (Johnson) Doble.
Jan is survived by her children, Leonard (Loretta) Brown of Pfafftown, North Carolina, Maureen (Jason) Hooper of Utopia, New Brunswick ., Aaron (Tabitha Stanley) Brown of Calais, Maine, her grandchildren, Bradley (Erin) Brown of Virginia, Alicia (David) Brown of Virginia, Courtney (Brittney) Micheal of North Carolina, Noah (Makella Brown) Brown of North Carolina, Brett (Katie) Hooper of St. Stephen, Michael (Naomi) Hooper of St. Stephen, great-grandchildren, Bryce, Carter, Caiden, David, Brooke, Remy, Hallie, Colby and Hudson.
In addition to her parents Jan was predeceased by her Step-Brother Paul Denbow.
Jan worked at the Winsome Inn for 11 and half years but will be remembered for working everywhere on Campobello. Jan was an avid reader and her greatest joys in her life were that of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place; a private graveside service will be held at a later date in the spring.
