Thomas Albert Steynor, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away on December 30th, 2025, at the age of 85 yrs old surrounded by love.
Born in Montreal Qc. Tom lived a life defined by adventure, curiosity, and humour. He was larger than life in the best way—someone who made ordinary moments feel special and brought people together wherever he went.
A devoted family man, Tom found his greatest joy in family, planning gatherings, teaching, storytelling, and magic. He created memories that will be cherished for generations.
He had a passion for taxes, helping others, learning, and loved sharing his knowledge with anyone willing to listen. His warmth, playful spirit, and unmistakable presence made him unforgettable.
Tom is lovingly remembered by his wife of over 60yrs Jackie Steynor, his children Stephanie Ruckstuhl (Ron)and Trevor Steynor (Genevieve), grandchildren Joshuah Ruckstuhl (Jayse), Becca Ruckstuhl (Mike), Ryan Ruckstuhl (Laura), Rosie Ruckstuhl and Sophie Steynor and great-grandchildren Izabella and Lily Merchant, Payton and Marley Ruckstuhl and Henry Ruckstuhl along with many friends whose lives were brighter because of him.
Though he is no longer with us, his laughter, lessons, and magic will live on in the stories we tell and the love he gave so freely.
