Obituary of Hope Frances Green
Hope Frances Green
May 12, 1948 – December 28, 2025
Hope Frances Green passed peacefully at the Grand Manan Nursing Home on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Born in New York City on May 12, 1948, she was the beloved daughter of her adoptive parents, the late Antoinette and Walter DeBrandt.
Hope spent her early years in the care of social services alongside her sister Elizabeth and was separated from her brother Roy at a young age. In later years, she was blessed to reunite with her siblings, bringing her comfort and peace.
Raised in the Protestant faith, Hope placed her trust in God throughout her life. She felt a calling to care for others and fulfilled her dream of nursing through a life of service.
She was the devoted wife of the late Carson Green, whom she married on October 21, 1967. In their later years, they lived in Fort Myers, Florida, where they realized their dream of sailing before returning to Grand Manan. Hope’s greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her children: Stephanie Green (Edmonton), Rachel Zani (Pennsylvania), and Carson Green (Grand Manan). She was predeceased by her son Blair Walter Green, her grandson Carson Blair Green, and her sister Elizabeth Naro.
Hope will be remembered for her kindness, perseverance, and unwavering faith. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, the family appreciates donations to Parkinson’s research in her memory.
As per Hope’s request there won’t be a funeral service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care & direction of the Phillip Ells Jr. Memorial Funeral Centre, a service of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110)
