O'Mar, Janet L.
Passed unexpectedly at her residence on November 13, 2025. Janet Louise (Weeks) O'Mar, wife of the late James O'Mar. Born in St. Stephen, NB. She is the daughter of the late Everette and Flora (Matheson) Weeks.
In Janet's early years she worked at Ganongs, then as a clerk at the fish factory. She then worked as a caregiver to private individuals. Janet worked for over 15 years as an RNA at the Charlotte County Hospital. She was a dedicated member of Gateway Cathedral. A God fearing, good Christian woman. Janet was a kind, giving spirit.
She is survived by her daughter Amy O'Mar of Ottawa, ON., son Allen O'Mar of St. Stephen, NB., 8 grandchildren Skye, Syrah, Kendrik, Destiny, Cody, Allen James, Sam, and Jasmine. 3 great grandchildren Alyvia, Pheonix, and Dominic. Sisters Rose Roberts of London, ON., Shirley Kirby of Saskatchewan, Sharon Roberts (Doug) of LaSalle, ON., Lillian Arseneau of St. Stephen, NB., Brothers Wayne Weeks (Darlene) and Carmen Weeks both of Moores Mills, NB., several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janet was predeceased by her husband James and 3 brothers, Murray, Melborne, and Clifford.
A celebration of life will be held for Janet on Saturday November 22nd, 2025 at 11am at Gateway Cathedral Church in St. Stephen, NB. A reception will follow in the church hall.

A private family burial will take place at Pomeroy Ridge Cemetary.
The family is asking everone if they are comfortable to feel free to wear colourful clothing instead of black and grey. Janet was a woman that loved colourful things, rainbows, light houses, sunshine, and flowers. Lets keep her memory alive with colour.
