Don't know where to start. Rollie and Gert were Mavis and my neighbours from the time we moved to St. Stephen until they moved to an apartment. They were the best neighbours a person could ask for. When Rollie bought his ride on lawn mower he made sure to instruct me on how to use it since our lawns abutted. He would stand there as I backed it out of his shed, making sure the blade didn't touch the makeshift ramp he built. Sometimes when putting it away it would fetch up and he was always there to provide a little push to get it over the lip. He was quick share his favourite libation on a hot day, as well as advice on many of the day's topics. He had opinions and was willing to share them. While we were both members of the Milltown legion he would always be ready early to drive us to the Branch for Remembrance Day services. He looked quite spiffy in uniform. Rest easy Rollie. Let someone else take up the torch.
