Obituary of Timothy Arnold Eagan
Eagan, Timothy Arnold
Was born October 20, 1944, to Gail Isabelle (Murphy) Eagan and Ralph (Buffy) Eagan.
After attending schools in Milltown NB and graduating from St. Stephen High School, he attended Teacher’s College in Fredericton. He taught at school for a few years at Beaver Harbour and Garden Creek School. He remained a Truant Officer for many years.
He moved on to working in the Life Insurance world until joining Guy R Day and Son in St. Stephen, retiring after 37 years as the president and Co-Owner of the business.
Tim was active in the St. Stephen Council as a councilman and Deputy Mayor. He also belonged to the Pythians, St. Stephen Chamber of Commerce, the Masons, and a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church.
In later years, Tim enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and the daily chatter at Tim Horton’s.
Tim was predeceased by his parent and brothers Christopher, Peter and Michael.
He is survived by his wife Marry Ellen (Tyrell) of Milltown, NB, son Greg of Tower Hill, Mark in Alberta and Guan in Malaysia. Also surviving is his only sister Teresa Brazier of Calais, Me., nieces and nephews.
A graveside Memorial will be held at 11AM on Saturday July 12, 2025 at the Milltown Catholic Cemetery (Barter Settlement Road).
