Linda Richardson

Obituary of Linda D. Richardson

The heart of our family, Linda Richardson, has passed after a hard battle with cancer.

Linda was predeceased by her mom & dad, Ethel & Alton Thomas, as well as her older sister Shirley, and brother in laws Jim & Ray. She was the baby sister to Marilyn (Ray) Shirley (Jim), Betty (Dawson), Jamie (Irene), Jerry (Marie), Roger (Barb), and she had many, many, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bob, and her two daughters Angela (Andrew) and Melanie (Jody), her three grandchildren Billie (Missa), Samantha (Stephen) and Ben and her two great grandchildren Skeye and Tally. She also has an amazing church family that have been so loving and supportive.

Mom’s baking prowess was well known amongst her family and friends, especially her molasses donuts and her mince meat. She was always up for a picnic, a walk on the beach, a bonfire or a road trip. She loved her adventures! A football or a hockey game? She was there! A family dinner? What can I bring? A boot camp graduation? When do we leave?

Always eager to hear about Bill’s exploits, Sam’s experiences and Ben’s accomplishments, best guitar picker of them all!

Mom loved her game nights with Karen & Bruce, except when “he cheated!” She has left a lasting impression on her many close friends – Ann, Theresa, Gary & Susan, Joy & Terry, Stella and John – there are just too many to name! Our family would like to thank  them for their love and support over the last 7 months. She loved you all!

Mom, You’re the apple of our eye, the sun in our shine, and we love you more than ice cream.

Wife, Mom, Grammie. Child of God.

Mom’s last wishes were no funeral, she just wanted a party. So to honor that, we are having a picnic at Spednic Lake, one of her favorite places, in the world, Sunday July 6th, 2025  at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice House Fredericton, NB., 621 Churchill Row Fredericton, NB (506 – 472 – 8185) On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care & direction of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110)
