Obituary of Edward Joseph Arsenault
ARSENAULT, EDWARD J. – Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, on Thursday, May 29th, 2025, Edward Joseph Arsenault passed away, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and community spirit. He was the beloved husband of Fern (Johnson) Arsenault of Chamcook, NB.
Born in McAdam, NB, Ed was the son of the late Arthur and Eva (McIntyre) Arsenault. He will be remembered fondly for his years of dedicated work driving bus to and from the Tuna Plant, as well as his devoted service as the caretaker of the Lady Beaverbrook Estate.
A man of deep faith, Ed was a pillar of his church, where he served faithfully on the board and cherished the fellowship of his church family. His gentle demeanor, warm smile, and unwavering willingness to help others will be missed by all who knew him.

Ed’s presence in his family was a source of love and joy, and his playful spirit will live on in the laughter and smiles of his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his loving wife Fern, are his cherished daughter Lisa Townes-Fraser (Mark Fraser) of St. Stephen, NB; his step-son Ryan Johnson (Samantha Johnson); and his adored grandchildren Eden and MacKenzie Townes, Abigail, Natalie, and Zoey Johnson. He is also survived by his sisters Louise of Moncton, NB, and Diane (Randy) of McAdam, NB; his brothers Rick (Darlene) of St. Stephen, NB, and David (Janice) of McAdam, NB; and his dear sister-in-law Donna.
Ed was predeceased by his brothers Guy and Ronnie; his sisters Doreen, Carol Anne, and Theresa; and brothers-in-law Eric, George, and son-in-law Stephen.
By Ed’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at 2:00 pm at By The Sea Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, 183 Queen Street, St. Andrews, NB. A reception will follow immediately in the church hall downstairs.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the We’ve Got Your Back Program of Charlotte County or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com.
