Obituary of Vesta Ellen Cook-Wilson
Cook-Wilson, Vesta Ellen (Cooke)
Passed peacefully on Friday April 25, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Chamcook New-Brunswick she was the daughter of the late Carmen & Grace Cooke (Lee). She was predeceased by her first husband Walter Cook in 2000, and her second spouse Eldon Wilson in 2018.
She is survived by her children; Brian Cook (Late Annabelle), Debra Fertnig (Claude), grandchildren; Thane (Debbie), Braden (Samantha), Tanya (Bryan), Cory, Amanda (Gerry), Christopher (Casey), great-grandkids; Hunter, Cody, Great-great granddaughters; Zoe, Adley, siblings; Sharon (Doug) Willigar, Keith Cooke (Late Paulette), Paulette (John) Wentworth and special niece Nina Mowatt.
Predeceased in addition to her parents and spouses by her siblings; Frances French, Evelyn Mowatt.
Vesta was a dedicated employee at Conner Brothers for 50 years, she was a devoted disciple of the lord attending Union Street Baptist and Seaview Gospel for many years. She lived her life as a caregiver, she will be remembered for looking after everybody in her life, she was a devoted spouse, a loving mother and grandmother and pillar of her community. Her generosity and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service in Vesta’s memory at the St. George Rural Cemetery (74 Carleton St. Ext, St. George, NB E5C 3B9) on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 2pm.
For those who wish in lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
