Obituary of Janet Ann Margaret Rangeley
Janet Ann Margaret Rangeley (Glen)
Janet died peacefully at her home in Chamcook, NB with her husband of 75 years and many family members present to comfort her and say their goodbyes. Janet (Jenny) and Wally (Robert Wallace Rangeley) were childhood friends growing up in Regina Beach, Saskatchewan. They married in1950 and lived in London, Ontario for the next 50 years where they raised a family and where Janet honed her artistic and gardening talents. Mom and Dad moved to Chamcook (near St. Andrews) in 2000 where Janet continued to pursue her passion for gardening and painting – inspired by her love of nature.
In addition to her husband Wally, Janet is survived by her daughter Sue (Peter) and son Bob (Marilynn), five grandchildren Andrew (Diane), Mary (Colin), Alli, James and Margaret and four great-grandchildren, Natalie (Dawson), Devin (MacKenzie), Abby and Tyson. Janet was predeceased by her parents John and Lena (Richardson) Glen and her two siblings, Marion and Jack.
Janet was a prolific artist with many of her colourful abstract paintings adorning the walls of family and friends. She also inspired young people towards artistic expression in ways that influenced career choices and encouraged a lifelong appreciation of the arts. To honour Janet’s love for art, and to continue her legacy, donations to the Sunbury Shores Art and Ecology in St. Andrews, NB would be greatly appreciated - Click Here - Sunbury Shores Donation Page
The family would like to thank Dr. Jolanta Lalik and especially the Extra-Mural staff for their excellent care and compassion, during Mom’s final days.
As per Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Online condolences to the family can be made at www.humphreysfh.com.
