Obituary of William Keddy

Keddy, William “Bill”

With great sadness, we announce the passing of William (Bill) Keddy on February 11, 2025.

Born on April 4, 1949, in St. Stephen, he spent his life in the community he loved. In 1970, he moved to Milltown, where he built a home, a career, and his life. He would stay in that same home until the time of his death this year.

Bill was a dedicated heavy diesel mechanic, working for Chet’s Transport, Milltown Trucking and helping other companies over the years. His expertise and work ethic were well known, and he took great pride in keeping trucks on the road. His love for anything mechanical extended beyond work—he could often be found fixing, building, or modifying all manner of things.

Outside of work, Bill had many passions. Music was always a part of his life, and he found joy in listening to his favorite songs. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, spending time splitting wood, enjoying nature, and admiring animals. He also loved building models with patience and precision, a hobby that reflected his steady hands and sharp attention to detail. A good game of cards was always welcome, especially when shared with friends and family.

Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, hard work, and love for the simple things in life will be remembered by those whose lives he touched.

Survived by his daughter Rebecca Keddy, son Daniel Keddy (Janik Collette), grandchildren Jackson, Lilia, siblings John Allison Keddy (Betty Feltmate), Linda Keddy (Tom Purvis), Mother of his children Cheryl Keddy and his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by his parents John and Jean Keddy.

Cremation has taken place; a memorial service is being planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers for those who wish donations to NBCC (https://nbcc.ca/advancement/giving ) would be appreciated by the family.
