






Obituary of Murry Lee Brown
BROWN MURRY L. – At the Grand Manan Hospital on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025; Murry Lee Brown, husband of Mary Elizabeth Brown of Grand Manan, NB. Born on Grand Manan, he is the son of the late Sherman & Laleah (Ossinger) Brown.
Murry worked for many years as an electronics communications technician for the Province of NB, retiring in 1999 to return to the island.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating of any kind, but his real loves were piloting a small-engine plane and his ham radios. Whether chatting with other operators in the four corners of the earth, offering communication solutions to members of his operators’ club, or tearing out the fuses and transistors to repair a faulty unit, his radio workshop was Murry’s favorite place to be.
Survived by his wife Mary of 66 years as well as his children, daughter Heather Brown of Halifax, NS, sons Philip (Heather) of Grand Manan, Shawn (Catherine) of Burlington, ON, Evan of Halifax, NS, and Kim (Wanda) of Fredericton, NB, 5 grandchildren Jeremy(Cassandra), Stephanie (Dylan), Tom, Dan, & Dalton and 4 great grandchildren Bea, Weslie, Margo and Winnie.
Murray was predeceased by his sister Geraldine.
By Murry’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation will take place at a later date.
