Neilson, Lorraine Joy
It is with great sadness that Mike, Jason, Nick & Family announce the unexpected passing of their beloved mother and grandmother Lorraine Neilson in the comfort of her home in St. David Ridge on Wednesday February 12, 2025.
Lorraine was born and grew up in St. Andrews, she was one of seven kids to the late Mildred (Dow) and Granville Libby.
Lorraine was a very caring, respectful, loving person. She loved her late husband of 51 years Danna Eugene Neilson, her three boys Jason, Nick, Michael. She loved her five grandchildren unconditionally, they meant the world to her, she enjoyed watching them grow up and had the honour to watch 2 of them graduate high school, and one from college. Lorraine loved attending school plays for all her grandchildren, graduation ceremonies for Riley & Keegan from St. Stephen Middle School as they moved to grade 9 at the St. Stephen High School. Lorraine loved to paint and garden, she cherished having her family around and enjoyed time at the beach with them.
Lorraine was very humble and would help anyway she could. She was hardworking and worked very hard for her family.
Lorraine is survived by her children; Jason Neilson, Michael Neilson (Melanie), Nick Neilson (Tanya) all of St. Stephen, her 5 grandchildren; Keegan Neilson, Riley Neilson, Sidney Neilson, Daynna Neilson, Raina Neilson, her 2 brothers; Danny Libby (Kelly), Wayne Libby, 2 sisters; Christine Richard, Louise Cook and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be greatly missed by many including her dog Molly who she loved greatly, enjoying taking her for drives to the beach.
