Obituary of Allan MacDonald
MacDonald, Allan Gregory – Allan passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital January 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Allan was born in St. Stephen August 14, 1963, the son of Bonita (Waycott) Archer (Bruce) and the late Robert Allan MacDonald.
Allan is survived by his wife Susan (Hovey), daughter Crystal (Pete) of St. Stephen, son Gregory (Shayne) of St. John, sister Debbie Kohler of St. Andrews and brother Robert of St. Stephen, three grandchildren, Ransom, Iver and Wren, nieces, nephew and cousins.
Allan graduated in 1982 from St. Stephen High School and went on to work in the family business at MacDonald Funeral Home. He then went on to work with Skretting Canada in Bayside for over 25 years.
Allan loved anything to do with the outdoors including hunting, fishing, listening to all genres of music and spending time with his children, grandchildren. Since his illness in 2020 he was passionate about camping and keeping his lawns at the campground looking like a “Golf Course”.
He will be sadly missed by family and many lifelong friends.
By Allan’s request, there will be no visitation, cremation to take place. Funeral service will be held at Humphrey’s Funeral Home (20 Marks St. St. Stephen NB E3L 2B2) on Wednesday February 5th at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in the spring at the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
For those who wish, in honor of Allans memory donations can be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society.
