Wilma C. Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Wilma Catharine (nee Weitzel, Schellenberg)

It is with great sadness that the family of Wilma Montgomery announces her sudden passing on April 10, 2021 in St. Andrews, New Brunswick at the age of 68 years.

Wilma was born and educated in Stratford, Ontario and later made her home in the seaside town of St. Andrews, New Brunswick. She loved her job as an office manager/bookkeeper for Serindipin Art in St. Andrews. Wilma was a kind gentle caring person with an easy laugh. Always thinking of others and a true prayer warrior, Wilma loved reading her bible and would never hesitate to stop what she was doing and pray for you. When you were talking to her, you knew she was really listening and genuinely cared what you were saying. She enjoyed going for walks and talking to people she met along the way. She was a faithful member of By the Sea Pentecostal Church in St. Andrews..

Wilma is survived by her son, Leo Schellenberg (Amanda) of Gananoque, ON, her sister, Rose Brennan (Andrew Mailhot) of Stratford, ON. Predeceased by her parents John and Wilhelmina (Verwymeren) Weitzel of Stratford, and brothers-in-law Peter Brennan of Stratford and Robert Montgomery of St. Andrews, NB. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, dear friends and community.

At Wilma’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation will take place and memorial services will be held at a later date at By The Sea Pentecostal Church in St. Andrews and in Stratford.  Interment in Avondale Cemetery.
