Janet was an incredible lady. She was like a grandmother to me, inviting me into her home on Valetta Street to teach me about art and drink tea while Wally was in the basement or back garden working on his own projects. She expressed a genuine interest in what I was doing and opened my eyes to a world of possibility! We became pen pals after Janet and Wally moved to the East Coast, somehow remaining in touch for these last 25 years. I always cherished the letters and cards (always hand made by her with small works of art) and was even more pleased to receive special notes and letters for my children's birthdays each year. I will miss her greatly and am blessed to have had her in my life. All my love to Wally and Mary and all of her family at this difficult time. Alana
