It's hard to believe that my oldest still-living friend has left us. My most sincere condolences to the Foulkes family and all of Tim's friends. Tim was my classmate at Town of Mount Royal High School back in the 1950's and we spent much time discussing shared interests. Our careers diverged in various technical fields and we both ended up with private pilot licences. We also both rode motorcycles for fun during our older years although Tim enjoyed flying and motorcycling several years longer than me.
Tim's videos on line will continue to be enjoyed by many and his memory will endure.
Most sincere condolences to Tim's extended family and host of friends. I was fortunate to have many long-distance and in-person conversations with Tim about the 'beauty of small things' and the treasures we share on this planet. Tim was surprised and a bit mock-annoyed when his NS duck toller, Cindy, jumped into my car instead of back into his van to head back to Cedarville. Fond memories of a trip Up North when Weir Park was rededicated in the early 90s. Hopefully a lifetime of good memories can provide some comfort for all of you.
I am very saddened to hear of Tim's passing. I got to meet and spend a lovely day with Tim at his home and property in May and feel honoured and lucky to have had that chance to learn of his love of nature and his vision for the future without him. I left feeling inspired by Tim's passion and energy - he still had so many plans. On behalf of the Nature Trust of New Brunswick I send thoughts and condolences and thanks to Tim's family at this hard time. His legacy will live on in the nature surrounding Charlotte County that he has helped to protect and conserve for all the living and future generations.
So very sorry to learn of the passing of my friend. I will miss his visits at Carman's accompanied by his girl Luna. Ive gotten to know him quite well over the past few years and our mutual love of dogs were always topic of conversation.

My deepest condolences to Tim's family. Tim has left a tremendous legacy in Western Charlotte County, for which he will be well remembered. His love of nature was reflected in his commitment to ensuring people had the opportunity to enjoy the solitude and breathtaking views from the top of Simpsons Hill. Our family loved to visit and savour the beauty of the St. Croix-Scoodic River watershed from the summit. His respect for the natural world led him to become a defender of land and sea, rallying the community to prevent the destructive expansion on the Bayside Quarry, and providing photos from his airplane view of the surrounding terrain and marine estuary to support the marine conservation work of the Conservation Council. We are indebted to him and we will remember him.
We met Karen in her jewelry store in 2001, while on holiday in St.Andrews. Our daughter fell in love with a ring she designed with 2 dolphins passing each other. My husband fell in love with a silver wedding band. Karen did an impromptu review of our wedding vows in front of our 3 kids, right then and there. Our daughter lost her ring, which she loved and we wanted to replace it for her. I tried to contact Karen, but got in touch with Tim. Tim shared his heart breaking news about Karen and still attempted to find the cast to make a new ring. We drove out to meet Tim that summer and Casper! We stayed in the bunker. Tim taught all of us how to fly in his plane and gave the kids motorcycle rides. What a generous, loving, caring soul. A few years later Tim came our way and visited us in Elora, ON. Thanks to FB, we have stayed in touch. After reading of Tim’s passing, my husband and I both went we can be at the funeral in 14 hours driving time. Except Tim won’t be there, Karen isn’t, nor is Casper. Life is strange, in how some people can have such an incredible impact on your life, teaching you to open, helpful, caring and lots of fun! My deepest sympathy to Tim’s family. I met Tim through my husband, Dave. They were both motorcycle lovers, especially older models. I found Tim to be a very kind gentleman. Hopefully they will be kick starting a few together in the great beyond!
This announcement took my breath away. Tim was so many things to so many people, to me, a friend and neighbour, someone who took me to the skies (in his plane) and traded motorcycle parts and lathes, we straightened wood piles, and walked with the dawgs we visited beautiful vistas and traded stories. We are loosing so many valued members of our community - at the same time that it hurts, it inspires me to live life better in honour of folks like Tim. It’s a hell of a thing.

My condolences to the family. Tim had stayed at my place while taking his pilot license. Tim is a very smart man but for some reason A alpha, B bravo , Tim was struggling to remember the terms. So, I had written them on a piece of paper and place it in the bathroom so he could study while he was in there. Then I would quizzed him till he remembered. I had another student he had nickname him Bigfoot. I had the opportunity to fly in the Cessna when I was in St Stephen visiting my friends. One thing that stands up to me is how he loved his children, then grandchildren. Rest in peace Tim
My favourite memory of TJ was crewing for him in mirror races in the harbour. He taught me how to call to Oden for a fair wind by whistling. Tim, I wish you fair winds and following seas. To Ellen and the family, my deepest condolences.
So very sorry to read of Tim's passing. I come to know him through his love and dedication to mother earth, as well as a few plan rides over the years. My children carry fond memories of those flights around the region. My heartfelt condolences to Tim's family.
